The Rodale title will host Are You Game? on July 14-15 at Hudson River Park’s Pier 46. Brand sponsors will target active women with a slate of activities, from spa treatments and concerts to rock climbing and mechanical bull riding.

This is the first consumer event for “Women’s Health,” which boosts its circulation to 850,000 in July. The event, which is named for the popular Are You Game? feature in the magazine, is expected to draw 10,000 women.

Three presenting sponsors host their own attractions during the free event.

Everlast extends its tie-in with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation with a fashion show unveiling its BCRF activewear Collection of apparel, boxing gloves and exercise balls. It will donate 20% from the sale of items at the event to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The company also will run cardio kick-boxing classes.

Sunglasses maker Oakley hosts golf classes and stages two fashion shows for its eyewear, apparel, footwear, bags and backpacks.

Propel Fitness Water will run hydration stations throughout the area and offer yoga classes.

Smaller sponsors each have different activities, too. Pure Protein will host a rock-climbing wall and give away samples of its protein bars, while Fuze Beverage will run hydration stations and a workout class. MET-Rx will have a bar serving protein shakes and Silk Soymilk will run an iced coffee bar. In addition, Michelob Ultra will sponsor bar games during Happy Hour and Nestlé's Skinny Cow will sample its ice cream and give out cards with tips on cooling down after a workout.

The Bowflex TreadClimber lets visitors test drive its home-fitness machine, and will award three machines via sweepstakes. Sperry Top-Sider will run a fashion show and give kayaking lessons (on land), with a sweeps awarding on-water kayaking lessons for two. Oasis Day Spa will offer spa and beauty treatments and Crunch Fitness will handle all the workout classes.

Rehage Entertainment helps Rodale execute the event.
