Votes are pouring in for Mike and Ike new puts flavor

The candy company is giving people a chance to vote for the next Mike and Ike mix. And so far, more than 60,000 votes have been cast.

Mike and Ike is testing three new flavors: Smoothies, Lemonade Blends and Fruit Sherbet. Lemonade Blends has a lead over the Fruit Sherbet and Smoothies flavors. Online voting will run through Sept. 14.

People can cast their votes for their favorite at MikeAndIke.com.

As part of the promotion, codes from specially marked packages of Mike and Ike candy can be entered online for a chance to win concert tickets for a year. Forty first-prize winners will receive an iPod Nano. Lesser prizes include music download gift cards and free candy.

The promotion is running on 4.5 million packages of Mike and Ike candy through Sept. 7. Just Born is supporting it with radio spots and ads on AOL featuring video technology.

Mike and Ike is also pushing its product via more than 300 sampling events nationwide, the company said.
