Cape Cod Potato Chips Introduces New Flavors with Rebate

Cape Cod Potato Chips is introducing three new gourmet flavors: Sweet Mesquite Barbeque, Buttermilk Ranch and Honey Dijon.

Just in time for the summer barbeque season, the new flavors are hitting store shelves in major markets across the U.S., available in 8-ounce bags.

In a major in-store marketing push, the company is offering an instant rebate coupon for $1 off the purchase of two bags.

The chips are also being sold on the company's Web site, www.capecodchips.com.

Snacking has grown to a $76 billion industry in the U.S, with potato chips as the most popular snacks, experiencing the highest sales between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the company said.

Cape Cod Potato Chips attributes much of this growth to outdoor entertaining, picnics and old-fashioned barbeques. Industry reports suggest that one in two households have barbeques, with each family hosting between three and five per summer, the company said.
