The site, which launched in the U.S. and U.K. last month, lets consumers earn iTunes downloads by shopping through the portal at hundreds of participating retailers.

Retailers set the reward level—the number of downloads a shopper can earn for every $25 spent—and users can earn additional downloads by referring friends to the site (one for every two songs a friend earns, up to 100 times the number of songs earned by shopping each month).

Consumers register for free, but can opt for a $5 per year "premium membership" that lets users redeem downloads more quickly than the standard two- to three-month processing time.

The site is run Karma Collective, with dual headquarters in Chicago and Edinburgh, Scotland.
