Dr Pepper to Reign as Official Soft Drink of Amateur Athletic Union

Dr Pepper has signed a deal to become the official soft drink of the Amateur Athletic Union.

The two-year-deal will pair the two in joint branding initiatives at amateur sporting events that bring crowed of 70 million participants and spectators across the country every year.

"As official soft drink, Dr Pepper is playing a vital role in helping us develop and cultivate current and future generations of outstanding athletes to carry on the tradition of excellence in American amateur sports," said Robert Paul Sign, board chairman of the AAU Global Foundation.

The Amateur Athletic Union is one of the largest, non-profit, volunteer, sports organizations in the U.S.
