Regis Endorses Sweet’N Low in New Campaign
Sugar substitute Sweet'N Low has named national TV chat show host Regis Philbin as its pitchman in a national advertising campaign surround its 50th anniversary as a brand.
Philibin’s endorsement is conveyed in a major television and print campaign and on the http://www.sweetnlow.com Web site that launched Tuesday.
“I always thought Regis exuded honesty and sincerity,” said Sweet'N Low president and CEO Jeff Eisenstadt, in a statement, of the host of the top-rated “Live with Regis and Kelly” show.
“When you see and hear [Philibin], you immediately like the guy. When we found out he was an avid and long time user, we jumped at the chance to make him our international spokesperson," he said.
“Some of these sweeteners say they taste like sugar,” Philibin says in the spots. "If I wanted my coffee to taste like sugar, I'd use sugar! To me, in my coffee, Sweet'N Low tastes better than sugar! It's got that extra that extra zing of sweetness none of the others have. Its taste is unique and I love it! You can't beat Pink, pal!”
The television commercials began airing May 27 on high-profile programs including “The Today Show,” “Oprah,” “Wheel of Fortune” and “Rachael Ray.”
In addition to Philibin, Sweet'N Low licensed The Pink Panther for the multi-million dollar national television, print, P-O-P and outdoor campaign.
