The Louisville, KY-based pizza company is out with a new contest tied to the Big Game on Feb. 5 in Detroit. Through Feb. 5, consumers can enter Papa John's Go Deep Challenge for a chance to win a Papa's Perfect Pan Pepperoni Pizza.

Under the contest, if the quarterback representing either Pittsburgh or Seattle "goes deep" and beats the championship game record of 85 yards for a touchdown pass—the record set two years ago in Houston—all eligible entrants will win a free large pizza, redeemable online. And as an extra incentive, the first quarterback and receiver to set a new record for the longest touchdown completion in this year's championship game will each win free Papa John's pan pizza for life, the company said.

Consumers can register online at Papajohns.com/godeep85. Each registrant will receive a redemption code good for two free 20-ounce Coca-Cola products with an online purchase of a large Papa's Perfect Pan specialty pizza at regular price.

The contest marks Papa John's first promotion tied to the Big Game. About 1 million consumers are expected to enter the contest, Chris Sternberg, company spokesperson, said.

"It's a great way to [drive] awareness and trial of Papa's Perfect Pan pizza," Sternberg said. "We hope the record is broken." Online materials support. Pleasant Ridge, MI-based ePrize handles contest.
