CARTOON NETWORK'S: animated Japanese series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi will extend its brand with a custom-built float for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The float, which will feature the performers and giant-sized, puppet versions of their cartoon alter egos, marks the latest Macy's Parade entrant for Cartoon Network. The network will support the float with a Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi toy line, including playsets, fashion dolls and other merchandise by Mattel.

EVB: San Francisco, hired Cary Savas as president, a new post at the online ad agency. Savas had been senior VP-director of interactive services at Publicis Dialog, San Francisco, working on HP and Sprint. He returns to EVB, where he had been VP-director of client services before moving to Publicis. EVB adds the president post following four new-business wins from Best Buy, CardStore, Kashi and Sunkist.
