WHEATIES: is launching a special-edition commemorative package honoring the 2007 MLB World Series Champion Boston Red Sox. The 15.6-ounce Red Sox-branded box will be available nationally beginning in November. The package features Red Sox All-Star pitcher and American League Championship Series MVP Josh Beckett on the front panel and an image of Fenway Park and Beckett on the back.

BURGER KING: has added a temporary item to its breakfast menu, Homestyle Melts sandwiches. The sandwich comes in two varieties: Double Bacon Homestyle Melt and Honey Butter Homestyle Melt. TV spots will support the launch. Three vignettes feature four moms who are angry at the King character for encroaching on their turf by offering the new products. The moms try to defend their territory, but the items win in the end.
