INTERNATIONAL DAIRY QUEEN: has named John P. Gainor, as president and CEO, effective July 1. He will replace Charles W. Mooty, who has filled the position since January 2001. Gainor, 51, joined the company in 2003 as chief supply chain officer leading all supply chain functions for the company. Prior to that, he held various executive positions in the food-service industry. Mooty will remain as chairman of the board through the yearend.

THQ: has licensed characters from Marvel Entertainment’s “Super Hero Squad” for video games of the same name. The first title THQ will produce as a result of the multi-year deal will be published in the fall.
