RealTime Media to Deliver Newsletters to 80,000 Eagles Fans
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed a three-year agreement with
RealTime Media Inc. for the digital promotions and direct marketing
agency to develop and execute a weekly electronic newsletter.
The newsletter, Sunday Game Plan, will reach about 80,000 fans each
Thursday throughout the NFL season. Each issue will offer an exclusive
preview of Eagles news, game previews, injury reports, weather updates,
broadcast information and team-related events, contests and
promotions.
The Eagles view the newsletter as a relationship management program to
stay connected with loyal fans and to build its subscriber base.
RealTime Media, Wynnewood, PA, will also handle data analysis and
promotion recommendation.
One viral marketing promotion will use a sweepstakes to grow the
database. A weekly drawing dangles an autographed football or helmet,
or other Eagles merchandise if the recipient forwards the e-mail to
five people, said Steve Rockman, VP-sales and marketing for RealTime
Media.
