PROMOTIONAL EXPENDITURES:
and advertising for smokeless tobacco products link snuff and
chewing tobacco increased 39% between 1999 and 2001, according to the
Federal Trade Commission. The spending reached $236.7 million in 2001,
up from $107.2 million in 1999. These expenditures have increased every
year since 1987, with only two exceptions, when $68 million was
spent.
EINSON FREEMAN, INC.: a sales promotion agency in Upper Saddle
River, NJ, has named Elly Goodman, account supervisor, to work on the
Reynolds Metals account and Scott Cochran as senior account executive,
to work on the ConAgra Snack Foods account, as well as new
business.
