KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS:

will hold an Armed Forces Day promotion May 17, to honor the uniformed service members and the USO. Participating stores will donate $1 to the USO for every dozen red, white and blue-sprinkled doughnuts sold.

CINGULAR WIRELESS: will collect recycled cellphones in more than 6,000 collection bins at Cingular retail stores, Simon Malls and Special Olympics events across the country. For each phone received, $5 will be donated to Special Olympics.

ALLOY MARKETING & PROMOTIONS: has hired Matt McRoberts as director of sales for AMP's Boston office. Most recently, McRoberts worked for Monster as the senior product marketing manager and was responsible for the launch of Monster Campus, a student focused sales and marketing channel.
