NBA TV Plays All-Star Weekend
NBA TV today launches marketing initiatives for the NBA All Star
Weekend Feb. 12-16 in Los Angeles and across the country.
"All Star Weekend is the ultimate platform to showcase NBA TV's
products to the fans," said Merritt Paulson, director of marketing for
NBA TV. "This will be a weekend-long celebration that will be promoted
on both a national and local level."
Nationally, NBA TV will run 30-second spots during the All Star
Weekend. The network is also offering a free preview of NBA TV from
Feb. 12-17 for Time Warner and Cox Communications customers.
Locally during the NBA All-Star Jam Session, which runs from Feb.
12-16, NBA TV will present fan raffles and giveaways of 9,500 gift
bags. "Freestyle" fan booths at each event let fans record a 20-second
"1,000 Reasons Why I Love This Game" promo spot that will air on NBA
TV.
At each live event, NBA TV's Fan Patrol will distribute T-shirts during
time-outs; displays in arena concourses distribute information about
the network.
NBA TV logo and decals will be projected onto L.A.'s Staples Center,
which will also feature courtside signage and live feeds of NBA TV. The
cable network will also be featured in 6,000 hotel rooms across the
city. New York City-based NBA handles creative in-house.
