NBA Launches Destination Finals Tour
The NBA kicked off its 2004 NBA Legends Tour: Destination Finals
Tuesday at The NBA Store in New York City.
The tour includes a series of viewing parties for fans that will be
attended by a group of NBA legends and showcase the Larry O'Brien
trophy, which is given annually to the NBA Champion. The tour includes
Basketball Hall-of-Famers Bill Russell, Julius Ervin and George Gervin,
and will take place in playoff cities and non-NBA cities.
The legends will chronicle their experiences through interviews on
nationally televised playoff games and NBA TV and also write blogs on
NBA.com. The tour ends with the commencement of The Finals, which start
in early June.
The events are being handled in house.
