Coke and Godiva to Offer 'Indulgent' Beverages
Coca-Cola North America and Godiva Chocolatier are set to debut a new line of beverages this summer that is "more decadent than just plain coffee."
to hit shelves this summer
The new premium blended drinks, Godiva Belgian Blends, arrive in three flavors: Dark Chocolate Mocha, Milk Chocolate Mocha and French Vanilla Latte. The national launch begins July 31, with the beverages available in 9.5-ounce glass bottles in single and four packs at convenience stores, supermarkets and other retailers.
"This is a great opportunity for us to extend our strong portfolio of licensed products by combining the world's leading premium chocolate brand with the beverage marketing expertise and distribution capabilities of Coca-Cola North America," said Jim Goldman, president, Godiva Chocolatier Worldwide, in a statement.
Godiva Chocolatier is a unit of the Campbell Soup Co.
The advertising agency is Leo Burnett, Chicago.
No marketing details were available at this time, said Ray Crockett, a Coca-Cola spokesperson.
