Cialis Promotes Free Trial and More

The makers of Cialis, a treatment for erectile dysfunction, are offering a free trial and if customers are not satisfied, will pay for the trial of a competing product.

Called the Cialis Promise, customers who have never used the product can download a voucher for the free trial at a designated area on www.cialis.com. If a doctor writes the prescription and the customer likes the trial, Cialis will offer a second trial at no charge. If they are not satisfied, Cialis will pay for the customer to try out a competitive product. The promotion launched Monday and runs from a limited time. Print and broadcast support.

The ads show an image of an empty bathtub with the tagline, "Looks like someone discovered the Cialis promise," a play on Cialis' other ads that show a couple watching a sunset while sitting in side-by-side bathtubs. Cialis is made by Indianapolis, IN-based Lilly ICOS LLC.
