The network has teamed up with online auction site eBay to host a charity auction to benefit The Groundlings Theater, a non-profit organization that has served many of Hollywood's leading writers, producers and performers.

Consumers 21 and older are invited to bid on two on-camera appearances on National Lampoon's Reality Bar Crawl, a new series the network launched that features appearances by reality show stars at local bars and night clubs. Consumers can bid on the auction at Ebay.com/nationallampoon through May 19. In its first week, the auction has received one bid of $500. As part of the promotion, 10% of the winning bid will benefit The Groundlings Theater.

"We expect that people are going to have fun," said Barry Layne, executive VP of National Lampoon. "It is a valuable, personal experience for someone who can afford it and wants to have fun."

The winning bidders will join at least two stars from popular reality TV shows including The Real World, Road Rules or Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search to host contests, tend bar, serve as a DJ and host other events, including the keg toss and wet T-shirt contests.

"Giving people the ability to host and be part of a TV program is rather unique," Layne said. "It is the kind of life we all think about from time to time. Most people will never have this experience. It ties in perfectly to the young adult life that National Lampoon as a brand embodies."

The National Lampoon network airs on more than 600 college campuses throughout the U.S.

The network is also offering businessmen an on-camera sponsorship of the show. National Lampoon will incorporate the top-bidding business' name and logo into the show.
