Valvoline Instant Oil Change centers will begin offering mobile coupons to customers in three metro markets using the couponing platform from Cellfire.

The quick-lube chain will distribute exclusive offers and discounts on car service to registered Cellfire mobile users in Cleveland, Minneapolis, MN, and St. Louis. The coupons will offer $7 off a full-service oil change, or $10 off any of Valvoline Instant Oil Change’s other preventive-maintenance services, and will be redeemable at all 107 franchised or owned and operated service centers in the three metro markets.

Customers can subscribe to the Valvoline coupons by signing up at the Cellfire Web site, http://www.Cellfire.com. Registered Cellfire users can also get the offers by texting “V” to the short code 22888.

Users can store the coupons for future use either on their cell phones, through a downloadable application, or on the Cellfire Web site.

Cellfire has previously announced nationwide couponing deals with retailers such as Hardee’s, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Hollywood Video and 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. The company recently rolled out an updated version of its platform, which includes the ability to distribute mobile coupons via print or display advertising.

“Cellfire continues to partner with well-known brands such as Valvoline to help consumers save money,” company CEO Brent Dusing said in a statement. “Mobile coupons are a win-win solution for consumers who are searching for innovative ways to save money amidst rising fuel and food prices.”

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is the second largest quick-lube chain in the U.S. market and a business unit of Valvoline and parent company Ashland Inc.
