To enter, people create a unique and catchy slogan for their own sign. Door hangers can be customized with designs, images and templates provided by Embassy Suites Hotels.

The contest is available at EmbassySuites.com through Oct. 31.

The promotion builds off the tagline of the hotel chain’s popular do not disturb sign that reads: “There’s a good reason for you not to knock right now.”

“We’ve gotten such a tremendous response to our do not disturb sign that we thought it would be fun to give consumers some control over what their door sign says,” John Lee, vice president of brand marketing, said in a statement.

Five grand-prize winners will have their designs placed in Embassy Suites Hotels in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. In addition, they will win hotel accommodations to one of the following locations: The Embassy Suites Hotel-Waikiki Beach Walk in Waikiki, HI, The Embassy Suites Hotel Mexico City-Reforma in Mexico City, Mexico, The Embassy Suites Hotel and Spa-La Quinta, in La Quinta, CA, The Embassy Suites Hotel New York City and The Embassy Suites Hotel – Washington D.C. Convention Center.

A panel of judges will select the top five designs in November. Five winners will be announced in February when signs roll out in hotels nationwide.

Online marketing supports the contest.
