Whole Foods to Pair Online Coupons with In-store Guide

Cake Flour is just one item discounted with new online coupons from Whole Foods.

Natural and organic grocer Whole Foods Market has begun offering online coupons to complement its in-store value guide, The Whole Deal.

The Whole Deal, which is also available online, highlights everyday low prices, offers low-budget recipes and meal planning advice and coupons.

"It's all about convenience," Whole Foods spokesperson Barry Hirsch said in a release.

A selection of coupons from each issue of The Whole Deal will rotate online every few weeks to keep the deals fresh.

The coupons can be downloaded.

Earlier this month, the company launched a mobile Web site optimized for people who use their cell phones to browse online. It includes 2,000 recipes, store hours, driving directions, store specials, a calendar of events and a store locator that searches by zip code.

In fiscal 2009, Whole Foods reported $8 billion in sales and currently has more than 285 stores in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
