The free program, called A.C. Moore Rewards, gives members 13 and older a $10 reward certificate each time they accumulate 200 loyalty points. One point is awarded for every $1 purchased. Customers can earn double points for purchases of $100 or more. Members can also track their points or view special promotions and offers online at www.ACMooreRewards.com.

Reward certificates will be sent by mail. There's no limit on the amount of points or rewards members can accrue, according to the program Web site.

“We want our customers to have the best possible shopping experience at A.C. Moore,” Joe Jeffries, executive vice president of operations for A.C. Moore, said in a statement. “Our rewards program gives members new opportunities to save.”

To join, people can pick up a card at any participating retail A.C. Moore location or by registering online.

The program launched as a pilot in 17 locations, the company said. It will rollout in more than 130 stores nationwide. The retailer plans to expand program benefits in the future.

In other news, A.C. Moore named Scott Ridgely as its director of loyalty programs. Ridgely recently joined A.C. Moore as the in-house loyalty and rewards program expert. Prior to that, he spent five years at S&H Solutions, provider of customer-based loyalty solutions.

Online marketing, fliers and in-store signage support the program.
