National Car Rental Reruns ‘One-Two-Free’ Deal

National Car Rental is reprising a promotion aimed at frequent airport travelers that provides a free rental day as a reward.

Consumers who sign up for National’s Emerald Club can a earn a free rental day for every two two-day rentals they make through Dec. 12.

Members receive notification of the unlimited free rental days they accrue by e-mail. Consumers can register for the program at www.nationalcar.com and can sign up for a separate offer, the ‘One-Two-Free’ promotion, at www.emeraldclub.com/12FREE.

“It’s a win-win,” National Car spokesman Charles Pulley said. “Existing members can earn free days if they register.”

National is building awareness for the program through advertising on its Web site and through e-mails to its Emerald Club members, Pulley said.

Canadian Emerald Club members are eligible to participate in an identical rewards program called “Rent-Rent-Reward” at www.emeraldclub.ca/rentrentreward.

The promotion, now in its sixth year, has consistently driven Emerald Club membership for National, and increased traffic to its Web site, Pulley said.
