The Hershey Co. Drives Purchases with Movie Ticket Offer

Hershey's is luring candy sales off its larger-sized bags with a free movie ticket offer

The Hershey Co. is rewarding customers with free admission to the movies in exchange for candy purchases.

People who buy specially marked packages of Hershey’s Mega Movie 10% bonus bags
can collect Mega Movie Bonus points to earn free movie passes. Customers who collect 15 bonus points will qualify for one free movie admission, valued up to $8.50.

Participating brands include Twizzlers, Hershey’s Miniatures, Hershey’s nuggets, Kisses, Reese’s and York products. Twizzlers candy bags are worth three points each, while the bonus bags of Hershey’s candy are equivalent to five points each.

Hershey’s launched the incentive, in part, to reward loyal customers and to drive additional sales of its candy, the company said.

To redeem the reward, people cut out point decals and fill out mail-in forms available via in-store displays or at http://www.hersheys.com/megamovie. The promotion runs through March 1. A limit of four movie admissions will be permitted per household.

Online marketing and on-package materials support the program.
