Budget Offers ‘Snow Birds’ Rental Breaks

Budget Rent A Car is taking advantage of seasonal human migration patterns to relocate its car fleet by offering deep rental discounts.

In an annual marketing ritual, customers booking one-way rentals in Florida can get economy or compact vehicles for $4.95 per day. Intermediate-size cars are available for $9.95 per day, full-size cars for $12.95 per day and four-door, full-size models for $14.95. Sport utility vehicles are available for $16.95 a day.

The vehicles can be returned to participating Budget locations throughout the U.S. Details are available at http://www.budget.com.

Budget is also offering special one-way daily rates in Arizona at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Tucson International Airport and Flagstaff Municipal Airport to select locations in California and Nevada. Economy-size cars are available for $17.95 a day, compacts are available for $48.95, mid-size cars for $19.95 and full-size vehicles can be rented for $21.95 a day.

“It’s a seasonal thing,” said Budget spokesperson Alice Pereira. “We are looking for customers to move the cars.”

The one-way Florida offers are valid from March 27 through June 30. The Arizona offer runs from March 21 through May 24.
