AVIS RENT A CAR: has launched a free child-safety seat promotion just in time for summer. Consumers who rent a minivan, SUV or 12-passenger van will receive up to three free child safety seats with each rental -- a $150 value. Rentals must begin by Sept. 5 to qualify for the free child safety seat offer.
