Quaker Maid Rolls Out Holiday Recipe Contest

Spicy? Swedish? Sweet? Creative cooks can decide how to best present their dishes for the Meatball Mania Holiday Recipe Contest hosted by Quaker Maid Meats and West Bends Housewares.

Quaker Maid wants chefs to have a ball

Chefs are asked to use frozen Mama Lucia Meatballs from Quaker Maid Meats in an original recipe submitted August 1 through October 31 by mail or to Quakermaidmeats.com. First-, second- and third-place winners will receive crock pot slow cookers from West Bend Housewares. Each recipe must use Mama Lucia Home Style, Italian Style or Sausage Meatballs, available in the frozen food aisles of such retailers as Big Y, Kroger, Publix, Stop and Shop and other grocery chains. Entries will be judged on creativity, suitability for holiday entertaining, and eye and taste appeal.

Winners will be selected by November 15.
