Providian and Visa Dangle NASCAR Trip

Providian is dangling a weekend of VIP access to a November NASCAR race in Arizona through a Visa buy-and-play sweepstakes promotion.

Providian Visa cardholders making a purchase before Sept. 15 are automatically entered to win. The NASCAR 2004 Checker Auto Parts 500 race is to be held at Phoenix International Speedway Nov. 5-7. Providian is promoting the sweepstakes through statement inserts.

The grand-prize winner of Visa's Ultimate NASCAR Experience will receive round-trip airfare and ground transportation, weekend accommodations in a luxury motor coach at the track, VIP access and attendance at the pre-race driver's meeting. The winner also receives a lap in a pace car with either Rusty Wallace or Kurt Busch.

Four first-place winners will receive a 42" Panasonic plasma screen TV and 250 second-place winners will receive a NASCAR gift pack, which includes an exclusive NASCAR-licensed cooler pack, water bottle and tire pressure gauge.
