Sci Fi Channel Hosts Stargate Sweeps
The Sci Fi Channel last week kicked off a sweepstakes dangling a
walk-on role to plug the DVD release of the third season of its popular
show Stargate SG-1, as well as the premiere of the show's
seventh season.
"Stargate" fans can enter at www.scifi.com/stargate. The prize package includes a
trip for two to Vancouver, Canada, where the series is filmed. Entry
info is also plugged on 40,000 packages of the three-box set of
Stargate SG-1. On-air mentions on the New York City-based
channel as well as on the Web site and in Sci Fi Magazine
support.
MGM Home Entertainment distributes the show. The seventh season
premieres June 13; the DVD set hits shelves on June 17.
