American Airlines Celebrates 80th Year Via Sweeps

American Airlines is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a sweepstakes award a trip for one winner and nine guests to the Bahamas.

Starting Feb. 1, consumers can enter the Family Reunion sweepstakes by completing an entry form at Family.whyyoufly.com. Grand prize is 10 roundtrip tickets to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island and three nights' accommodation.

"American Airlines is dedicated to bringing families together across the globe in celebration of their past, present and future," said Dan Garton, executive VP-marketing, American Airlines, in a statement. "One way of achieving this is by taking care of the most important steps in planning a family reunion: location, transportation and accommodations."

The sweepstakes builds on American Airlines' We Know Why your Fly campaign, which rolled out in 2004.
