Samsung Attempts World Record for Fastest Texting Skydivers

Samsung Telecommunications America attempted to establish the Guinness World Record for "Fastest Text Messaging While Skydiving."

A team of professional skydivers texted last Friday while freefalling from 12,000 feet outside Los Angeles at the Samsung Mobile Xtreme Texting event.

The event was staged to promote the company’s new lineup of text messaging phones.

To add to the craziness, the jumpers had one minute to text the words: "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."

The company is awaiting word from Guinness on the results.
