Captain Morgan Pose-Off Pits Yanks Against Red Sox

New York Yankee and Boston Red Sox greats face off today in Captain Morgan's Ultimate Pose Off event

Former New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox stars will face off in New York for a Captain Morgan “Pose Off.”

The event, called “The Ultimate Pose Off,” will pit former Yanks Dave Winfield and “Goose” Gossage against former Red Sox Jim Rice and Dwight Evans. The four athletes will revive their rivalry in a series of baseball-based competitions today at New York’s Eyebeam Studios.

The successive challenges include knocking stacked Captain Morgan bottles off of a barrel with a baseball, bunting balls into three different barrels, and running an obstacle course. The climax will be the “Pose Off,” with each athlete striking his best impersonation of the signature Captain Morgan character posed with arms crossed on the Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum bottle.

The event is part of a series of similar athlete pose-off competitions Captain Morgan is staging in several major markets. Grand Central Marketing is producing and executing the New York event. Rogers & Cowan helped create them.
