People Magazine Rolls Out Red Carpet
Time, Inc.'s People Magazine is taking itself to the people
for the second year in a row. The People Live tour kicks off
Sept. 6 in St. Louis, MO, and will touch down in 10 markets and allow
consumers to engage in a red-carpet experience. At the stops, visitors
can walk down a red carpet, give an acceptance speech and take home a
souvenir photograph of the experience.
Presenting sponsor Maybelline, New York City, is hosting three Fabulous
Faces makeup stations where consumers can choose from four Hollywood
makeover looks and receive a free gift bag filled with product when
presenting a Maybelline purchase receipt. Four stations via sponsor
Boca Raton, FL-based Sunbeam Products' Mr. Coffee will feature computer
celebrity trivia games, coffee sampling and prize giveaways. Wayne,
NJ-based Reckitt Benckiser's Spray 'n Wash will have a Sensational
Styles booth where they will show off their new hot-pink washing
machine, host a Messy Movie Moments trivia game and hand out various
laundry stain removal products.
Plus, at each tour stop, visitors can enter a sweepstakes for a pair of
tickets to an upcoming awards show in Los Angeles. Markets to be
visited through Nov. 9 include Atlanta, Boston, New York City and Los
Angeles.
