Hostess Drives Happy Feet with Rebate Offer

Hostess pushes the Happy Feet DVD via a rebate offer

Hostess is supporting the upcoming release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Happy Feet on DVD with a rebate offer.

Specially marked multi-pack packages of Hostess Twinkies, Cup Cakes and HoHos will feature a $3 mail-in rebate. Consumer can redeem the offer with the purchase of the Happy Feet DVD, due out Tuesday, and two multi-packs of Hostess products.

About 2 million packages will feature the Happy Feet images, the company said. In-store movie-themed displays and an FSI with the rebate offer support the promotion.

Hostess has partnered with other DVD releases, including Universal’s King Kong and Classic Media’s Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin' To Town.

Happy Feet tells the tale of Mumble, a penguin who can't sing, but learns he has an uncanny talent for tap dancing.

The promotions department of NMA Entertainment & Marketing executed the deal.
