OfficeMax Sponsors PGA

OfficeMax has signed as a PGA of America sponsor, and plans perks for PGA pros.

The Itasca, IL-based retailer has signed on as the official office products supplier to The PGA of America. As part of the deal, OfficeMax will offer a personal account manager and low-price guarantee to PGA pros and pro-staffed facilities nationally. OfficeMax also will support the PGA pros' supplemental retirement program, Golf Retirement Plus.

Promo agency Momentum Worldwide, New York, handled the deal for client OfficeMax. Momentum also handles golf-sponsorship programs for American Express and Buick.

Meanwhile, the LPGA has added a second Hawaiian tournament to its 2006 schedule. The Fields Open is slated for Feb. 23-25 at the Ko Olina Golf Club on Oahu, with TV coverage on The Golf Channel in the U.S. and TV Asahi network affiliates in Japan.
