POP Radio Buys SmartSource Radio

In-store radio network POP Radio has acquired the SmartSource Radio network from News America Marketing.

With the acquisition, POP Radio will broadcast into 12,500 grocery and drug stores in the United States. The network will reach more than 140 million listeners each week, News America Marketing said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

POP Radio said it plans to continue to use established SmartSource Radio elements such as Good Housekeeping features with Ellen Levine, Trivia and Fox News.

News America Marketing is a division of News Corp. Ltd. It markets its products under the SmartSource brands.
