Blimpie to Open More Than 100 Restaurants at Wal-Mart

Consumers will soon be able to dine at Blimpie restaurants while shopping at Wal-Mart stores.

Blimpie International, Inc. entered into an agreement with Wal-Mart to own and operate Blimpie Xpress restaurants in various retail locations across the country.

The first two locations to open this April in Florida will be Blimpie-owned. Franchisees will operate the majority of all other Xpress locations in spaces leased in Wal-Mart stores. The company expects to open more than 100 Xpress locations in Wal-Mart stores this year.

Menu items feature a selection of subs, salads, wraps, items from the new Carb-Counter Menu and snacks. Breakfast and additional dinner menu choices will also be offered.
