The move comes as Sharper Image said on its Web site last month it was suspending acceptance of its gift cards, rewards cards, gift certificates and merchandising certificates related to Chapter 11 Bankruptcy proceedings.

“We feel customers deserve value for their Sharper Image gift cards and gift certificates, and we’re confident they can find a great gift or product for themselves at Brookstone,” said Brookstone CEO Lou Mancini in a statement.

Any Sharper Image gift card, regardless of value, can be exchanged for the 25% Brookstone discount, the company said. The offer is valid at Brookstone stores for a limited time. Discounts, however, will not be redeemable on Sony, Celestron, Bose, Panasonic or Tempur-Pedic products. Details are available at http://www.brookstone.com.

Brookstone is a specialty retailer that operates 314 stores nationwide.
