Happy Super Bowl Ending for Snickers

Snickers' mechanics will appear again during the Daytona 500

Masterfoods is keeping fans snickering over its own Super Bowl spot.

The company ran a spot for Snickers, then asked viewers to go online and vote for the ending. The ending that gets the most votes will air on Fox during the Daytona 500 on Feb. 18.

The Snickers spot that aired on Sunday shows two mechanics working on a car engine. One of them pulls a Snickers bar from his pocket and starts munching it. The other, tempted by the bar dangling from his buddy’s mouth, starts chewing on the other end until their lips touch. They step back quickly. “I think we accidentally kissed,” said one. “Quick! Do something manly!” replied the other, and they both tear out a handful of chest hair.

A tagline sent viewers to SnickersSatisfies.com to vote for one of four endings. Three are variations on “something manly”—pulling out their chest hair, drinking motor oil, or bashing each other with a giant wrench. The fourth ending brings in a third mechanic who asks, “Is there enough room for three in this love boat?” Chiat/Day, New York, created the spot.
