MasterCard, Bed Bath & Beyond Set Back-to-College Sweeps

MasterCard and retailer Bed Bath & Beyond are courting college students with a back-to-school sweeps dangling a grand-prize $100,000 for tuition.

The 2006 MasterCard Back to College Sweepstakes with Bed Bath & Beyond gives shoppers one automatic entry each time they use a MasterCard at any of Bed Bath & Beyond's 750 stores through Sept. 5. The grand prize includes $100,000 toward tuition and a $2,500 Bed Bath & Beyond gift card; 10 first-prize winners also get a $2,500 gift card.

Stores also offer a college checklist to help last-minute shoppers; the list also appears on the retailer's Web site. San Francisco-based MasterCard handles the sweeps.
