Icehouse Lets Superfans Taste Bobble Head Glory

Icehouse beer is giving armchair quarterbacks a chance to attend any sporting event in the U.S. in the coming year and see their own face bouncing on a personalized bobble head doll.

Miller Brewing Co. is offering a code inside 12- and 24-packs of Icehouse beer through Dec. 28 under its Icehouse SuperFan promotion. People enter the code at Icehouse.com for a chance to win an all expense-paid trip for four to any sporting event in the U.S., including airfare and lodging.

Last year’s grand prize winner elected to fly to Alaska to attend the Iditarod dogsled race.

Hundreds of others will be instant winners of bobble head versions of themselves. And all entrants can buy a customized bobble head at the Web site for $55. They upload a photo of themselves and choose among football, baseball or basketball uniforms.

“Professional athletes have always credited fans for being a major part of their success,” Icehouse senior associate brand manager Kim O’Malley said in a statement. “So SuperFans are definitely deserving of their own bobble head.”
