Kettle Foods will bow Island Jerk potato chips this summer because consumers said so.

Island Jerk was the top flavor in Kettle’s People Choice campaign that lets consumers vote online for the brand’s next flavor of natural potato chips. This is the third year that Kettle has run the promotion, this time with an international twist.

Snackers chose between Dragon 5 Spice, Twisted Chili Lime and Island Jerk. Thousands of visitors cast votes over two months, the Salem, OR-based company said.

Island Jerk hits shelves nationally in traditional supermarkets and natural food stores in June, joining a line of other funky flavors: Spicy Thai, Cheddar Beer, Tuscan Three Cheese and Buffalo Bleu. Kettle’s 5-ounce bags sell for $2 to $2.29.
