American Airlines Sweeps Offers 1.5 Million Frequent-Flier Miles

American Airlines is out with a new sweepstakes that awards winners with frequent-flier miles and gift cards.

The airline has teamed up with Marriott Vacations Clubs International to offer travelers the chance to win the top prize of 1.5 million American Airlines AAdvantage miles, as well as Marriott and MasterCard gift cards each worth $30,000.

Customers can enter the Travel for Life Sweepstakes at AA.com/promo through Jan. 31. They can earn up to four entries by registering for the promotion, buying a ticket online with a MasterCard, and sharing the promotion with friends.

Ten first-prize winners will get a $500 MasterCard gift card.

American Airlines is promoting the sweepstakes via e-mail to its millions of frequent flyer members and newsletter subscribers and through online banner ads. TracyLocke, Dallas, administers the sweepstakes for Dallas-based American Airlines.
