Burger King Tempts Gift Card Buyers with Wii

Donkey Kong is one of four Nintendo characters that appear on the BK Crown Card.

Burger King Corp. is offering customers an incentive to buy its gift cards: a sweeps for a chance to a Wii.

Each time a customer buys a BK Crown Card at one of the participating restaurants nationwide, he will be entered to win one of 500 of the Wii systems.

Each card comes with a detachable instant-win game piece.

In addition, Wii themed BK Crown Cards featuring one of four Nintendo characters, will be also be available at restaurants and online.

“While people are trying to do more without spending more, the Wii promotion provides an added incentive that our guests can share with the whole family,” said Cindy Syracuse, senior director, cultural marketing, Burger King, in a release.

The cards are available in increments between $5 and $100.
