People who visit www.HyattresortsSummer.com can build and view their ideal summer getaway. The site, which launched May 5, offers details on Hyatt’s 19 resort destinations. At each spot, guests can select a resort, a specific theme and create a list of activities.

“People are more engaged with their planning than ever,” Lori Alexander, a spokesperson for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said. “We wanted to show people what they could do with these destinations.”

Visitors who plan a trip and register will be entered into the “Great Summer Getaway” sweepstakes through Sept. 1. One grand-prize winner will receive $15,000 in Hyatt gift card. Another 16 people will earn $300 Hyatt gift cards via weekly random drawings.

In the first week of the promotion, Hyatt received more than 30,000 entries, Alexander said.

Print ads in Travel Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler, online advertising on NickJr.com FamilyFun.com and e-mails to the hotel chain’s frequent guest program support the campaign.

Hyatt is handling the promotion in-house and Critical Mass is responsible for the microsite.
