Domino’s Pizza Builder Contest Draws a Crowd

Domino's lets people build their own pizza creations online in its latest contest.

Domino’s Pizza is letting people play chef with an online pizza-building contest.

In Domino’s Big Fantastic Pizza Builder contest, visitors can let their creative juices flow by crafting their own digital pizza at http://www.dominos.com through Jan. 27. On the site, people choose their ingredients, everything from the crust to sauce and cheese and toppings, and name and register their creation.

So far, more than 6,000 entries have been submitted.

A team of Domino’s employees will determine the most creative pizza. Entries will be judged on the ingenuity of the pizza name and the creativity of pizza and its ingredients.

The winner will receive $500 in Domino’s gift certificates; the second- and third-place winners will receive $50 gift certificates.

Visitors can click on registered entries to see the final creations. Some already submitted include The Coronary, a blend of bacon, beef, cheese, extra large pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage and sauce and It’s Gold, a mix of cheese, green peppers, ham, mushrooms, pineapple and sauce.
