Visa is spreading holiday cheer to its biggest pool of sweeps winners ever

Visa USA today breaks its holiday sweepstakes with its biggest-ever prize pool for a fourth-quarter promo.

The Visa $1.5 Million Holiday Giveaway dangles a grand-prize of $250,000 and, for the first time, 50,000 prizes of $25 each. Cardholders are automatically entered each time they use their Visa card between today (Nov. 1) and year end. (Consumers also can enter at Visa.com/win without making a purchase.) An instant-win overlay on the site, the Holiday Instant Win Game, will award additional prizes and offers discounts and holiday gift ideas.

National advertising, statement inserts, direct mail and signage at 900 member banks support the sweeps. Arc Worldwide's Frankel, San Francisco, handles the sweeps and collateral; BBDO, New York, handles advertising.
