During the promotion, consumers who purchase a Premium Salad will receive a proof-of-purchase for a free, 2-week guest membership at a participating health club. The partnership will be promoted through in-store signage and tray liners at McD's locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. In addition, each health club will receive discount coupon/tear pad signage and McDonald's Be Our Guest cards valid for a free Premium Salad or other wholesome menu options.

The promotion is designed to encompass McDonald's ongoing balanced lifestyles initiative. The new campaign focused on three key strategies: food choice, education and physical activity. IHRSA and McD's are working to educate Americans about the importance of food/energy balance.
