Tissot Swiss Watches Hires Velocity for NASCAR Activation

Tissot Swiss Watches has signed Velocity Sports & Entertainment to help develop retail activation strategies and promotions around its NASCAR sponsorship.

Tissot is the official timekeeper and watch of NASCAR.

Under one promotion, Velocity is partnering with Vivid Marketing to launch a mobile tour as a part of the activation program.

Last December, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts hired Velocity to handle its NASCAR sponsorship.

And in May 2006, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. chose Velocity to drive activation of its sponsorship of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the Busch Series. That same month, the agency opened an office in Charlotte, NC, in a bid to aggressively expand its NASCAR business. It hired Trip Wheeler, a respected motorsports’ executive, to head operations there.

Velocity also manages NASCAR-related programs for other clients such as FedEx and ConAgra Foods.

The agency also has offices in Norwalk, CT, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington DC, and London.
