RedPeg Raises $100,000-plus to Aid One of its Own

Kennedy Snyder and the winner of the Poker tournament, Dr. Elizabeth Robles.

RedPeg Marketing raised more than $100,000 last month to help fight cancer in the name of the daughter of the agency’s vice president and partner, Jeff Snyder.

In the true fashion of an experiential agency, the event, held in Northwest, D.C., included a high-stakes poker tournament where the grand prize was a $10,000 ticket to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The winner was Dr. Elizabeth Robles of Washington, D.C., one of only a few women to play in the tournament. Anheuser-Busch and the local business community were sponsors, the agency said.

The festivities also included a beer and wine tasting and an after-hours dance party.

Some 650 people attended the event, named after seven-year-old Kennedy Snyder, who was diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer (Astrocytoma) when she was two years old, and has been fighting the disease ever since.

The money was raised for the Kennedy Cord Foundation and the Spinal Cord Tumor Association, Inc. at the Chance For Life charity event held at The City Tavern Club.

This is the third year the Chance For Life event has been held. In 2007, more than 500 people helped raise over $70,000. For more information on Kennedy’s Cord Foundation, and to make a donation, visit www.chanceforlife.net.

RedPeg Marketing is an independent marketing and promotions company. Its clients include Anheuser-Busch, Del Monte, Geico, 9Lives, Dial, Choice Hotels International, and Johnson & Johnson.
